Young adult ministry (College aged— 30 Something)
The Well is a ministry designed to engage the lives of Young Adults with the life changing message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In the Bible we are told a story of how Jesus met and talked with a woman while getting a drink from a well. No big deal, right? Wrong. This was a huge deal. A close look at the story reveals that Jesus was not supposed to be at this Well because it was in a place that was “off limits” to the Jews, especially a Jewish Teacher like Jesus. Talking with the woman was also “off limits” to a Jewish Teacher because she was an adulteress with multiple lovers and a sketchy reputation. By all cultural standards, this meeting at the Well should not have taken place. However, Jesus was and is always willing to meet people where they are. As a result of this meeting at the Well, the woman’s life was dramatically changed. She told all her friends, "Come and see a man who told me everything I've ever done! Could he possibly be the Savior?"
We believe that Jesus still meets people at the well today. We believe that Jesus offers himself to us as “living water that will become in us a well springing up to eternal life."
